Main Article Content
Abstract
Different works of adaptation and plants improvements were developed with the objective of obtained garlic clones to solve different problems of the commercial production. It was possible to extend the plantation period, that was from October 15 to November 15, from September 15 to December 20 with three clones for the early time and three too the late one. Degree 1 was obtained to the fungus Alternaria porri (Ell.) Cif. under field conditions in ten clones in comparison with the clones ´Creole´ that had degree 4 and the Vietnamese degree
- Showed degree 1 of tolerance to the stain white five clones and the Creole clones and Vietnamese were the most susceptible. In relation to bulb size three clones reached more than 80% of bulbs bigger than 4 diameter cm, while the Creole clone reached 54% and the Vietnamese 62%. In the weight of the teeth they stood out three clones with values of 2.0 g, the Creole reaches 0,6 g and the Vietnamese 0,9 g. In three clones were obtained a value between 38% and 40% of dry matter content. The Creole varied between 30% and 32% and the Vietnamese between 34 and 36%. It was possible to maintain for 7 months more than 70% of the weight of the commercial production it was appreciated that some factors related with the seed and the agronomy applied, affects the normal developments of the cultivation and they impede the clone’s potential manifestation.
