Damage produced by nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita) in the lettuce seed production (Lactuca sativa L.) cv. ´Chile 1185-3´
Main Article Content
Abstract
Among the restrictive factors for lettuce seeds production are damages by nematodos, which can cause important losses. The objective of this paper was the determination of nematodes affectations on lettuce seed production. The attack of Meloidogyne incognita race 2 was evaluated in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) cv. ´Chile 1185-3. The study was carried out through the plant classification according to scale of degrees. The data were evaluated statistically by a variance analysis with a totally randomized design and Duncan test. The results show a decrease in the quantity of seed related with the increases of infestations by plant. The production average in grams for plant also had affectation diminishing from 10, 8 g/plant in the degree 0 up to 5 g/plant in the degree 4.
