Training: an activity for agroecological conversion of productive system
Main Article Content
Abstract
The process of training is one of the most important tasks in any development project. As part of the project actions "Agroecological Articulation: designing sustainable food security for local alternatives", financed by the European Union, HIVOS, SDC and MINAG, plans and training programs run in five municipalities in Cuba, since 2012¬¬ 2014, aiming to meet the demands of producers and maintain a system of production in agro-ecological conversion, allowing bringing knowledge to newcomers to farm work, among which are both staff with some experience in this activity, as a retiree from other trades and youth who have not had adequate experience in agricultural production. Order to implement and monitor the training process, weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities were identified. In compiling the information included members of the Local Coordination Team (EAL), representatives of the Cuban Association of Agricultural and Forestry Technicians (ACTAF) and school teachers training in each territory. For the third year we have trained 4665 (decision makers, technicians, farmers and students) on different topics related to participatory management in the innovation and development of new technologies for the development of sustainable agriculture. It has technical brochures and factsheets because of the training process.
